COVID-19 #3 - Short term misanthropy & Introversion to prevent the further spread of the pandemic...

In a world full of 'Hi', 'Hello' 'Let's hangout' and Coronavirus as well, the best way to stay safe is stay away from people. Just a few weeks after the outbreak of Covid-19, the world has started avoiding public places.
Public health experts and world organizations support and advocate all shades of introversion in the times of emergency crisis and pandemics such as the new Coronavirus or the old Swine flu outbreak. According to them, not meeting anyone or avoiding physical contact with people and public places increases your chances of limiting contact with Coronavirus.
'Climate emergency' is a term that was coined following the 1957-1958 influenza pandemic when H2N2 had killed about 1.1 million people worldwide. Epidemiologists found that there was a significant increase in new cases following public gathering events including official events such as conferences, seminars, meetings and unofficial events like get togethers, festivals, occasions, etc.
Avoiding crowds and maintaining a distance of about one meter from others lowers the chance of getting infected with any kind of infections including Covid-19 that spreads through respiratory droplets that are produced when a person coughs or sneezes. Respiratory droplets are inhaled or swallowed through direct contact or via contaminated inanimate objects or surfaces. Adopting a social distance right from the start of the epidemic is way more effective than travel bans and other restrictions.
With a diverse population of literate and illiterate people worldwide, illiteracy or absence of knowledge on hygienic practices contributes to an increase in spread of diseases and infections that have a chance of causing a life-threatening outbreak in future.
As it is well said that 'Prevention is better than cure', maybe misanthropy and introversion helps a lot more than drugs or any other techniques of staying healthy, thus avoiding being infected by microorganisms and viruses in the times of pandemics.
Promoting short term misanthropy in us all is an act of prevention which is always better than cure.
